Pear & berry “smoothie”

Just a quick post for today, I’m kind of running out of recipes to tell you the truth… (don’t worry, over the Easter break I’ll be cooking loads and my supply of recipes will replenish itself!) Anyway, here’s a super quick, clean, tasty recipe for this Friday morning. Enjoy 🙂

This recipe is: gf, dairy free, vegetarian & vegan.



  • Handful frozen raspberries
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 pear (cored & peeled)
  • 1-2 handfuls oats
  • 1 handful cashew nuts
  • 1/4-1/2 cup water
  • 1 serving blackcurrant powder (available here x)

That’s it! Smoothies (esp. with oats and/or nuts) are a great way to start off the day, especially with raw, clean ingredients. It’s also easy to swap the water for milk, or a milk substitute to make it a little creamier, but, to be honest, when you whizz up the oats enough, it gives a thicker texture anyway.

    1. It’s so good! I’m such a fan of adding oats to smoothies and smoothie bowls, it gives it so much more body, and adds a certain creaminess too 🙂
